… the “pabasa ng mahal na pasyon” – the chanting or singing of Christ’s Passion – a Filipino Lenten tradition dating back to Spanish times.
That beautiful tradition will outlive us. I know for a fact that there are some families – both in urban and rural places – who have a “panata” (solemn promise) that they will be doing the “Pabasa” every year. This has been handed to them by their ancestors and they will pass it on to their children and so on.
It might interest you to know that there is a parish in IL where the Filipino community has been doing the “Pabasa” for the last 8 years now. Heartwarming, isn’t it?
As a kid (in San Pablo City) I remember the “Pabasa” being done in makeshift huts (called “kubol” by the locals) and anyone could just chime in and join the chanting.

i want to know if capacitors actually help Keep Your lights from dimming and your battery including alternator from working too hard. also do capacitors need to be “charged” before use? what does that mean and how do i do it?
capacitators are completely pointless
if you’re running 2 15″ comps, you’re probably only doing 500 w rms anyway. im doing around 1600 w rms with no capacitator
so long as you have good wiring and a deep cycle battery, you’ll be fine.
and capacitators dont stop the headlights dimming, the only thing that stops that is a HO alternator

How can I display bookmarks on the tool bar, rather than going through the bookmarks button?
I just switched from IE6 to IE7 optimized for Yahoo! In IE6 I had some links always visible at the top of the browser so it was quick to switch from mail to a crm program. This does not appear to be possible in IE7 or at least the Yahoo! version. I have the icon for Yahoo! mail, which is very handy, but I would like another for CRM. I have made a bookmark, but that requires opening the bookmarks and clicking on it. Anyone know how?

Can a NBA Basketball team release a player during the season?
it’s easy to see Nate Robinson is not Mike D’Antoni. type of player. even if the Knicks wanted to trade him I’d doubt any team would want to have him on their team. so my question is can a NBA Team release a unwanted player from there team. while the season is still going? or do they have to wait for the trade deadline to make this happen. I just don’t understand if the Knicks don’t want little Nate then why don’t they just release him?
Yes, they can release him. However, they’re still on the hook to pay him his entire salary, since almost all NBA contracts are guaranteed. Most teams don’t want to outright release a player if there’s still a chance they might be able to use him as trade bait or whatever. What teams typically do in this situation is suspend the player. He can’t play, or practice or anything else, but the team retains the rights to trade him if a deal comes up.
And honestly, what the Knicks worried about anyway? Their roster shows that they’ve given up on this season.. They’re already conceded that this season is just a holding pattern until they can sign some big name free agent in 2010.
